CIBC "Run for the Cure"
For the past 6 years, we have taken part in the CIBC Run for the Cure, a very worthwhile event. The 5 k or 1 k run/walk raises funds and awareness supporting the advancement of breast cancer research, education, diagnosis and treatment.
Once a month, our club participates in theme nights at the Maple Hill Manor. We play games sing songs, dance, act out plays, and interact with the residents.
Foster Parents Plan
The past 5 years we have sponsored a child through the Foster Parents Plan. Our foster child Zachary Lherisson is 12 years old and lives in Haiti. Our club gives a monthly contribution to help Zachary and his Family. To visit the Foster Parents Plan web site Click Here.
Bowl for Kids Sake
The B.E.C. Interact Club participates in the "Bowl For Kids Sake", which is an event to raise funds for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada.
Campaign for Mental Health
Every spring we hold a campaign to raise money for Mental Health.
The Price Is Right
B.E.C. Interact Club's most loved fundraiser is "The Price Is Right" and it has turned into an annual event. This show is available to be viewed by students grades 7-12. The tickets to the show cost $10.00. The students then had a chance to get onto stage to win various prizes. It worked just like the television show would. Overall the shows are a huge success. We also hold a show for adults that has grown to be just as successful!
