National Fair Representative

Mi'kmaq Maiomi by Aaron

The National Fair is a truly national event that inspires lasting memories, new friendships, and experiences. It creates and strengthens connections between Canadians.  Students representing all provinces and territories take part in a special week of sightseeing, historic tours, hands-on workshops, and special events. The National Fair is a unique opportunity for students to learn about a specific region of Canada and to interact and establish friendships with young people from a diversity of backgrounds.  During the one-day public exhibition, students proudly share their outstanding history projects with the general public and with each other.

Provincial and Territorial Fairs are being developed within the Historica Fairs Program. These events provide another level of opportunity for public celebration and student recognition.  The Northwest Territories, Nova Scotia, Nunavut, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, and the Yukon regularly hold Provincial or Territorial Fairs.
