| Cape Breton Fiddler's/Doctor's NS Youth Run |
Students have been training for the Cape Breton Fiddler's/Doctor's Nova Scotia Youth Run which will take place on Saturday, June 2. All students from Mountainview and East Bay have been running for 15 minutes before recess on two days each cycle. We've been counting our laps and our combined distance so far is almost 700km! So we've decided that our goal will be to run to the capital by race day. Students can see our progress on a poster outside the gym at Mountainview. So far, more than 70 students and staff have registered for the run on June 2. We're so proud of our students for making such a huge commitment to leading a healthy life. They are truly leaders in our community.

| Jump Rope for Heart Raised Over $7000! THANK YOU! |
We celebrated the end of our fundraising efforts for the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation's Jump Rope for Heart with a fantastic event organized by Mrs. Ashton and led by our grade sixes. The sixes were a great role model for all our students and really put forth a stellar effort to make sure that the day went smoothly and that every student was active and having fun. Congratulations, folks!
