Donor Designated Dollars

Developing a sustainable Breakfast Program has been a challenge. Up until 2005, 100% of funding was based on donations and corporate funding. In 2005, the Nova Scotia Provincial Government has been providing partial funding to support programs at schools. However, the majority of the money is fundraised.

School Adoption Program:

It costs approximately .85 cents to feed a child breakfast, and $3500 to run a breakfast program at a school for one year. Some businesses and service clubs have adopted schools for the year by making a donation of $3500. When group is able to adopt a school, the business or group are recognized at our annual golf tournament on our Major Sponsor Board, which is held in June, at The Lakes, Ben Eoin

Donor Designated Dollars:

You may apply funding towards a specific school in your area, or a general donation to be spread over any number of schools. It can be done in different ways.
