This web site is dedicated to promoting
Fort Petrie and the contributions it has made to our country in war times.
You will find photographs from the 1940's and 50's as well as recent ones
which show the progress made to restore the Fort to its former glory.
I would like to take the time now to thank Mr. Carl Kanne for all of his
hard work on this project. Without his help most of this information
would still be sitting idle in the Canadian Archives. His enthusiasm
for this project has been a great asset to our community.
