School Cancellations

Parents/Guardians are advised that it is their decision whether or not to send their children to school on days of inclement weather. In the event of serious weather conditions that necessitate school cancellation, all efforts will be made to cancel schools before 7:00 am. Radio stations in the area will make the announcement several times during the early morning. However, if conditions deteriorate during the day, schools will be cancelled by noon time. Again, radio stations will provide this public service before 7:00 am. Parents/Guardians should ensure that alternate arrangements have been made for their children. When school is cancelled, all co-curricular, extra-curricular, and the community education activities scheduled for that day are also cancelled.

Winter Storm Cancellations

If school is cancelled due to inclement weather during the regular school calendar, the 'Day" that was supposed to occur (Day 1, Day 2, etc) is skipped and the cycle continues as seen in the Day Calendar. The Day Calendar can be viewed here.

Examination Period

If school is cancelled due to inclement weather during the examination period, the exams that were to be written on the cancelled day will be written at the same time on the following day.  Check the calendar for the exam schedule.

The Grading and Classifying day would then move to the next day. Students return to school a day later also.
