- There IS school on Friday. ONLY Elementary and Junior High schools have parent-teacher on Friday. All students are expected to attend.
- Just a reminder to all Interact Club Members that meetings will continue to be held on Wednesdays as usual, despite the confusion last week due to the snow storm. All active members are asked to attend, and new members are always welcome.
- Nova Scotia SPCA are inviting students to participate in an Art Contest & Exhibition in support of Human Education. Rules & Entry forms are available at www.spcans.ca/education.
- Division 1 Boys Basketball Practice today at 3:30pm.
- The Royal Canadian Legion Nova Scotia/Nunavut Command is the sponsors of Legion Leadership Training Camp being held this summer from June 26-July5 at the N.S. Agricultural College in Truro. The program has been in place for over 45 years and selected youth participate in a rewarding leadership training experience. For further information please check the website: www.ns.legion.ca
GRADE 12 SECTION:
- Explore Program: The application deadline for the Explore Program has been extended by one week to Monday March 8th. Explore is a $2000 bursary which covers most expenses for a five week summer French course to improve students’ French proficiency at beginning, intermediate and advance levels. For information please visit the Explore website at www.myexplore.ca.
- Attention all Grade 12’s. If you would like your baby picture in this year’s yearbook could you please bring it in with $5.00 and your name on the back of the photo so they can identify your adorable young selves. Bring it to Mr. Hawboldt’s classroom (B23) by Thursday Feb. 25.
- GRADE 12’s: A representative from Memorial University will be here at lunch time today in room B24.

Anyone interested in information from these 2 Universities is encouraged to attend.
- Reminder to students applying for University, the deadline for many scholarships is March 1st. Students should also be regularly checking the scholarship list outside the guidance office and checking the studentawards.com website.
