Two handouts were given; one was a reference sheet for using algebra tiles and the other was rules and practice questions for working with integers. If any student needs any extra help or practice with algebra tile or integers, they are to see me at lunch or after school.

For homework, students were asked to finish the integers worksheet and complete questions #1,2,4,5,6 on pages 292-293.

You have the responsibility to collect articles on current issues in which the federal government should be involved.
When looking for your articles, you need to select articles which meet in the following criteria:

• 2 articles which demonstrate the opinion of the North Region (Yukon, the Northwest Territories, and Nunavut)

• 1 article showing the opinion of the Pacific Region (British Columbia)

• 2 articles showing the opinion of the Pairie Region of meadows (the Alberta, Saskatchewan, and the Manitoba)

• 2 articles showing the opinion of the Central Region (Ontario, and the Province of Quebec)

• 3 articles showing the opinion of the Atlantic Region (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, the Prince Edward Island , and Newfoundland and Labrador)

• 5 articles showing the point of view of each of big political party (the Preservative Conservative Party, the Liberal Party, the New Democratic Party, the Block Quebecois, and the Green Party) on one single issue.

= 15 articles in total



For every article, you are also responsible for a bibliography. Here is how a bibliography is organized:

• If the article comes from the Internet:

The surname of the author, the first name of the author. " The title of the article. " The Internet: (the internet IP address ),The date when you obtained the information.

Example:
