TEACHER'S NOTE: One of my favorite writing assignments.

        1) For homework, ask your students to interview their parents
and relatives about the day they were born, or the day they
        first met their parents.

        2) Then ask them to write about it in school.

        3) Have them draw a picture to illustrate.

TEACHER'S NOTE: We usually publish all these into a class book
called Great Babies Great Kids, or something like that.

This ties in with our health objective of how people grow and change.

EDITOR'S NOTE: This would be a great lead in activity for Personal
Development topics and it could be adapted for many other topic
  areas and grade levels.
