        One book project that is quite successful is a 
        collage-type poster about the book.  

        Students cut out pictures to show the different 
        characters, and any objects or scenes that were related 
        to the book. 

        They then write a caption under each picture to explain 
        a bit about it.

   For example:

        Novel: Judy Blume's Fudge,

        Find a picture of a turtle, and below it write, 
        "This is the turtle that Fudge swallowed."


   TEACHER'S NOTE: I work with learning disabled kids and so a lot 
                   of writing is not always the easiest thing for them. 
                   But in order to do this project, they had to read 
                   the book and had to know what happened. We got some
                   great posters!
