  TEACHER'S NOTE:  This is a getting to know you kinda thing:

  Example: for a class of 24 students.

  Procedure:

        1) Go buy 12 different kinds of scratch n sniff stickers so 
        that you have 2 of each smell, but with different pictures.

        2)  Randomly slap a sticker on the hands of each student and tell
        them to go scratch n sniff .  

                        Can they identify the smell?

        3) Next, have the children try to find another person with the 
        exact same smell.

        4) Once students have paired up, they have a job (Checklists help
        here) Their job is to

                a) Tell their name    
                b) Find out one interesting fact about their partner.

        5) Assemble now on the carpet (or ehereever) together in a circle.

        6) Pairs introduce each other with: "This is Johnny and he has 7
        brothers and sisters.".

        7) After all have been introduced, you could ask the group to see
        what they remember.
