JOURNALS FOR MATH: Speaking of writing letters in math
  Author: Dr. Mavis Kelley

  Procedure:

One journal entry that can elicit some fruitful writing is
having the students write a letter to a student who wasn't in
class, explaining not only the assignment, but how they processed
        the problems.

                                Or,

explain to another group how your group figured out the problem,
why you used that strategy, etc.
