Make a parts of speech comic book
1) Have students choose
a comic character such as Snoopy, Garfield etc.
2) Draw the character on paper and cut it out. This becomes the book cover.
3) Trace the character on 8 sheets of paper (1 for each part of speech)
4) Find eight comic strips of their character and glue one on each page.
5) On each page they
write the part of speech
b) write a definition for that part of speech
c) glue the comic to the page
d) underline the same part of speech defined
e) write an original sentence and underline the same part of speech in that sentence.
TEACHER'S NOTE: This book takes some time to make but the kids really love doing it.
