TEACHER'S NOTE: Have you ever wondered how you could ensure that your
students have learned and retained concepts taught during the year? I
do this with a game I call "Around-the-World Trivia". The kids love it.
(Last year my students even wanted to play it during indoor recess!)

   Procedure:

        1) The teacher prepares for the game in advance by writing
objective questions and answers on 3" x 5" cards (one per card).

For example: What type of body covering does a bird have? (feathers)
                                or
What should you do if your clothes catch on fire?
                 (stop, drop, and roll).

TEACHER'S NOTE: I actually went through the curriculum guides to come
up with questions. You can also add more cards during the school year.
Laminate these cards and use them for years.

        2) The game is played with two students at a time.
One student is sitting and another is standing behind him/her.

        3) Ask one of the trivia questions on the card.

        4) The first of the two students to answer right moves on,
standing behind the next student in the circle or row.
(I let them have only one guess per question. Otherwise they
don't take time to think and may just keep shouting out answers)

        5) If the students are unable to answer the question I ask the
whole class. This way they are reminded of the correct answer.

        6) The game continues until one student makes it all the way
around the class and back to his/her own seat.

TEACHER'S NOTE: I also use this game as a filler when I have 10 extra
minutes. We usually can't finish the whole game in 10 minutes but the
  kids don't seem to mind.

If you have other ways of reviewing concepts please let me know.
