PROPER USE OF THE INTERNET

LEARNING OBJECTIVE: Students will be aware of guidelines for proper use of the Internet.

Instructions: Take your students on a tour of the Net. Explain proper use of Internet, including such points as:

Define unacceptable activities on the Internet as being those that purposely do any of the following:

Task / Activity:

After you've taken your students on a tour of the Net and discussed the above list of Internet don'ts, ask them to work in small groups to develop their own Code of Internet Ethics and post each group's work in your classroom. Focus on what effective Internet citizens should know, do, and be like.

Outcome:

Students will understand the proper use of Internet.
