This policy sets forward specific guidelines for instructional time and expectations in terms of reporting to work and dismissal for all teaching staff.
To ensure that all staff is clear on their responsibilities relating to reporting and dismissal times.
It is the policy of the Cape Breton-Victoria Regional School Board that all teaching staff complies with the reporting and dismissal time guidelines of the Board. Staff shall to report to work twenty (20) minutes prior to the commencement of the school day and are to remain twenty (20) minutes after school dismissal.

It is the responsibility of the Director of Programs and Student Services to ensure that this policy and administrative procedures are implemented.
The Coordinator of School Services will implement the policy and administrative procedures.
At times, it may be necessary for principals to make internal decisions regarding a teacher leaving the school building early. Permission of the Principal must be obtained by the teacher—it should not be assumed.
This policy will be reviewed by the Director of Programs and Student Services within three years from the authorization date.
