This policy is to be applied to all schools within the Cape Breton-Victoria Regional School Board.
This policy establishes procedures for photograph taking in schools.
It is the policy of the Board that in schools where individual or group photos are taken, the school administrator follows the procedures outlined.

It is the responsibility of the Director of Programs and Student Services to ensure that this policy and administrative procedures are implemented.
The Coordinator of School Services will implement the policy and administrative procedures.
1. That picture taking in schools be left to the discretion of the principal.
2. Parents must be notified so that they may indicate their interest prior to receiving the pictures.
3. Only one photography company per school per year.
4. All photographers must have police check and child abuse check before entering the schools.
This policy will be reviewed by the Director of Programs and Student Services within three years from the authorization date.
