Teacher Education Review - Focus Group
To help in our board′s preparation of our presentation on the Teacher Education Review in Nova Scotia, the Human Resource Services Department arranged a focus group workshop. The workshop was held on October 11th at the John Nugent Centre in Sydney Mines. Representatives at this group consisted of administrators, co-operating teachers and recent graduates from various universities. Coordinators, consultants and mentors from the Programs′ division were also present. Guiding questions and discussion produced valuable information that has been incorporated into the Board′s presentation that was presented to the panel on October 31, 2007.
Inservice Sessions - October 26th
Teacher assistant in-services were organized at two sites: Glace Bay High School and Jubilee Elementary School. In addition, a Wellness in-service was organized for secretaries at Sherwood Park Education Centre.
