Sydney Academy Sponsor Group Meeting was held April 8, 2008, pm.

Construction Phase Priorities were revised for the next phase of work for Sydney Academy. Bob Fraser and consultants were to begin preparing tender documents for future issue. Paul Oldford/Alan Paruch and Bob Fraser are to review tender call dates for the Washroom Renovations Tender and the Gymnasium Tender.

Riverview High School Sponsor Group Meeting was held April 8, 2008, am.

There was much discussion around the next phase scheduled for Riverview High School. Mr. McGean was asked to draft documents as a result of the discussion and have them ready within 10 days. Mr. Oldford was to meet with the SST Group to outline the plans and suggested changes.

The installation of Video Security Systems is ongoing throughout the CBVRSB. We hope to have most finished for September 2008. When this happens, along with the installation of door bells etc., we will be able to fully implement our Security Policy.

We are preparing our Schedule for Summer Work and also beginning the process of Student Employment.

General Maintenance continues to be ongoing and our report follows.

During the past month we delivered 50 computers to various schools:

- 19 - Cabot

- 1 - St. Joseph (SM)

- 2 - Cusack

- 2 - Southside Learning Centre

- 6 - Baddeck

- 8 - St. Agnes

- 4 - Gowrie

- 4 - Mountainview

- 4 - Seton

Computers for Schools

We are up to a total of 125 computers which are destined for the Nigeria Project. These are obsolete Pentium II and Pentium III computers taken out of schools and upgraded by the Computers for Schools Program.

We donated 20 Pentium II and Pentium III computers to the community.

We also completed 127 computer upgrades in schools throughout our board.

Projects in Progress

We are in the process of updating the technology inventory comprised of all computers, peripherals, projectors, scanners, etc.

Automated Internet Connection Advisory Software

This software will automatically email us when a connection is lost in a school. This gives us a proactive approach troubleshooting the internet connections in our board.

Notifications

During the dates of March 15 to April 15, we closed 247 notifications.
