SPECIAL BOARD MEETING

(1) CALL TO ORDER:

A Special Board meeting of the Cape Breton-Victoria Regional School Board was called to order today beginning at 6:30 p.m.

(2) RECORD OF ATTENDANCE:

Also Present:	Ambrose White, Acting Superintendent
	Beth MacIsaac, Director of Human Resource Services
	George Boudreau, Director of Financial Services
	Paul Oldford, Coordinator of Facilities Management
	Michelle MacLeod, Board Recording Secretary

(3) HOLY ANGLES HIGH:

Board Chair, Commissioner Green, advised regarding his recent meeting in Halifax regarding Holy Angels High. He advised the Board of a potential buyer for the school and the possibility of the Department negotiating with the purchaser. He along with Mr. George Boudreau and Mr. Paul Oldford spoke regarding the impact of entering into a new lease agreement with a new owner. Questions were asked by various Board members with regards to operational costs, contractual issues, etc. Board members along with staff expressed concern over these recent developments.

That the Board be prepared for discussions regarding Holy Angels School when called upon. .
