d. Confidential Employees Group Insurance Renewal:

Mrs. Beth MacIsaac advised that the Confidential Employee Group Insurance renewal has been conducted and an increase of seven percent should be noted.



e. Update on NSTU staffing:

Mrs. Mary Passerini, Coordinator of Human Resources provided an update of the positions remaining to date along with a review of the number of permanent contract teachers (six) and the number of recall teachers (18) which still require positions before positions can be advertised to the public.

She discussed the process of short-listing for interviews for the remaining positions. Qualifications and years of service will be a major component of the criteria when consideration is given for those to be considered for interviews.

Commissioner Parsons requested that the criteria be emailed to Board members when it is set.
